Amaya 10

Amaya is a Web editor, a tool used to create and update documents directly on the Web. Browsing features are seamlessly integrated with the editing and remote access features in a uniform environment. This follows the original vision of the Web as a space for collaboration and not just a one-way publishing medium.

It started as an HTML + CSS style sheets editor and turned into a powerful Web editor. Since that time it was extended to support XML and an increasing number of XML applications such as the XHTML family, MathML, and SVG. It allows all those vocabularies to be edited simultaneously in compound documents, includes a collaborative annotation application based on Resource Description Framework (RDF), XLink, and XPointer.

Using Amaya you can create pages and upload them onto a server. You can create a document from scratch, browse and find the information you need, copy and paste it to your pages, and create links to other sites. All this is done in a straightforward and simple manner, and actions are performed in a single consistent environment. Editing and browsing functions are integrated seamlessly in a single tool.

Here are some of Amaya’s features:

  • Access Keys
  • Caret Navigation
  • Page Zooming
  • Password Management
  • Spell Checking
  • Transport protocols
  • Support for CSS, MathML, SVG, RDF and Xpointer

In addition, it  runs on Linux, Mac, and/or PC, so regardless which OS you are using, you will be able to use Amaya´s web editor for your coding project.
